Reporting and Compliance Standards.

Large employers are required to offer full-time employees and dependents the opportunity to enroll in affordable, qualifying health benefits coverage. Failure to offer coverage or even offering coverage that does not meet certain affordability and coverage standards, could result in large tax penalties being levied against the company.

This obligation, known as the Employer Shared Responsibility provision, is complex. Large employers need to immediately prepare themselves to meet the reporting and compliance standards outlined in the law.
